The Imola (Italy) Formula 1 Grand Prix will not be part of the 2026 season, as it has been replaced by the Madrid GP.
This is the first time Madrid gets the chance to host the major motorsport event, scheduled from 11-13 September.
So Spain will host two races in 2026. From 12 to 14 June, Barcelona will host the F1 race.
It is not the only change F1 has made for next season. Canada, known for hosting the race in June, will now move to May.
So 5-7 June date has now been taken by the iconic Monaco GP. Just like normal seasons, the Australian GP will start the 2026 season (6-8 March).
Italy has lost one F1 face to Spain. But they still have 4 to 6 September dates booked for hosting an F1 event in 2026.
