Luka Modric has taken a minority stake in Swansea City and has become the investor and co-owner of the Championship side.
Swansea, who are 12th in the Championship table, have collected 54 points in 42 matches. They will now get the experience of Modric to make a Premier League comeback.
His other co-partners at the club are Andy Coleman, Brett Cravatt, Nigel Morris and Jason Cohen.
Modric said: “This is an exciting opportunity. Swansea has a strong identity, an incredible fanbase, and the ambition to compete at the highest level.”
“Playing at the highest level, I believe I can provide my experience to the club. My goal is to support the club’s growth in a positive way and to help to build an exciting future.”
In the 2017-18 season, Swansea City faced Premier League relegation after some incredible seasons in the English top-flight.
Ever since they have been fighting hard to make a comeback to the highest level of English football.
Meanwhile, his current contract with Real Madrid expire on 30 June 2025.
