Carlo Ancelotti led Brazil to win their first game under his managerialship, making them to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ancelotti has joined the Brazil head coach job after finishing the 2024-25 season with Real Madrid. He has set the aim high, which is to make Brazil win another World Cup and first time under his leadership.

Brazil defeated Paraguay 1-0, thanks to Vinicius Jr for scoring a goal in the second half. Ancelotti is the only five-time Champions Legaue winner as a manager.

Hence, there are huge expectations from him to place Brazil at the top of world football again. It was 2002 when they won the FIFA World Cup for the last time.

His first game with Brazil ended as a 1-1 draw with Ecuador last week.

Vinicius, who won two UCL titles with Ancelotti at Real, felt pleased with qualifying for the major event.

He said: “We needed to win and qualify for the World Cup.”

“Now the coach will have more time to work. Of course today wasn’t one of our best performances, but the important thing is always to win.

“Now it’s time to celebrate qualifying.”

The former Chelsea manager has now almost a year to work with star players of Brazil and then move forward to win the WC in North America (2026).
