Qatar have plans to host the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup; hence, it could take place in winter, just like the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The first edition of the extended CWC is ongoing in the United States. It has not managed to fill the stadiums in the United States.
Qatar getting the chance to stage another major FIFA event would be a great boost for its sporting ecosystem.
One might say that the Club World Cup in Europe or South America might work as it could help them to pack the stadiums to the core.
But Qatar are close to Europe, so it makes the sense overall.
