Al-Hilal outsmarted Manchester City 4-3 in the Club World Cup round of 16 and shocked the football world. Bernardo Silvam, Phil Foden and Erling Haaland scored one goal each to help City win the game.

Marcos Leonardo’s brace, and Malcolm and Kalidou Koulibaly scoring one each helped the club win the game in extra time. Now in the quarters, Al-Hilal will face Brazil’s Fluminense.

Man City finished the group stage with a solid impact. They were considered as one of the leading sides to win the tournament.

However, Al-Hilal’s round of 16 has shown that football clubs in Saudi Arabia have quality overall.

Now Al-Hilal hold a strong chance to win and has a decent shot at winning the event, which could change the overall impact of club football.
