Jadon Sancho will return to Manchester United, and Chelsea will pay a penalty of £5m for not making the loan move permanent.

Sancho made a move to the Blues in the 2024 summer. But the 25-year-old failed to click. As a result, Enzo Maresca’s side have decided to part ways with the ex-England winger.

Sancho’s final contribution for Chelsea came as a substitution in the UEFA Conference League final last month, helping the Blues beat Real Betis 4-1 with a goal contribution.

Four years ago, in the 2021 summer, Man United paid Borussia Dortmund £73m to sign Sancho. Since then, he has never managed to find a consistent touch.

From being seen as the future English football legend to being an average player now, Sancho’s career has taken a major dip.

Having no future at Man United means Sancho joining a new club this summer.
