Darwin Nunez, who has not been able to settle at Liverpool, is picking Napoli as his next destination (per Football Italia).
Nunez arrived as the replacement of Liverpool legend Roberto Firmino in the summer of 2022.
In 95 Premier League appearances, he has scored 25 goals and provided 13 assists. The stats might not seem bad, but they are not something LFC is looking for from the number nine.
Nunez is 26 years old, so one might see him doing well with Napoli, who won the Italian top-flight under Antonio Conte in the 2024-25 season.
It would work for Liverpool as they are looking for a number nine who can score 20-plus goals in a PL campaign.
Players like Nunez could help Conte to deep in the 2025-26 Champions League seaosn with Napoli.
