Liam Delap is one of the most in-demand players in the Premier Legaue this season, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle are chasing his signature.
But Man United need to win the Europa Legaue against Spurs on May 21 to play in the Champions League next season. As per ESPN, the UCL offering is giving an edge to the Blues.
Chelsea is holding the fifth spot in the PL, with 66 points in 37 games. Even the fifth position in the PL leads a club to the Champions League action next season.
It is not given for Chelsea to make it to the UCL as the Sunday’s fixture is against Nottingham Forest, who have 65 points.
But if Man United lose the final, they can’t offer the UCL or Europa League to Delap.
But Chelsea finishing even sixth will open the doors of the Europa Legaue. This is why winning the 2025 UEL final is a must for the Red Devils. Because losing might offer Chelsea an edge.
