Newcastle United are looking to sign James Trafford from Burnley. Trafford has been seen as a long-term goalkeeper for Eddie Howe’s side.
As per Fabrizio Romano, the Magpies are in talks with Trafford.
Trafford made a move to Burnley in 2023, appearing 73 times in the Premier League. He is a part of the England U21 side.
From 2021 to 2023, he was a part of Manchester City, but spent seasons on loan at Accrington Stanley and Bolton Wanderers. Trafford is yet to make the debut for England’s senior side.
Newcastle United finished fifth with 66 points in the Premier Legaue last season, so joining Newcastle will give him the European experience in the UCL.
