Tijjani Reijnders has joined Manchester City right before the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
The Dutch international cost the Sky Blues £46.5m. He made a move to Man City after spending two seasons at AC Milan, playing 73 times in Serie A for the Italian side and scoring 13 goals.
The 26-year-old central midfielder is the fourth incoming of the summer for Pep Guardiola’s side, having signed Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli and Rayan Cherki.
On June 18, Man City will play their first Club World Cup game against Wydad FC. Reijnders is eligible to play for the Citizens at the mega FIFA event in the United States.
Having signed four players right before the CWC, Man City have boosted their chances of becoming the world champions.
Reijnders said: “I am ecstatic to be signing for Manchester City.”

What to expect from Reijnders?
- Reijnders comes from Holland, so he is fluent in English. It is a plus for every new player who comes to England.
- He is a 6 feet and 1 inch tall central midfielder known for his ability to pass the ball and make things move forward. It is something Guardiola likes as a manager.
- The former AZ Alkmaar star has experience of playing 23 times for the Netherlands, which is a plus. He made his debut in 2023.
- Last season, in 37 Serie A games, Reijnders scored 10 goals.
