Newcastle United want to approach forward Bryan Mbeumo this summer. However, they are concerned with the £60m price tag (per Telegraph).
For Brentford, the 25-year-old forward has scored 18 times in 34 appearances. He has doubled his tally from scoring nine goals each in the previous two Premier League seasons.
Operating from the right wing position, Mbeumo is one of the select few players who can score 15 to 20 goals in a PL season.
Despite being so good in England, Newcastle are still not buying the £60m asking amount for the Cameroon international.
40 goals, 27 assists in 132 PL outings reflect the worth of Mbeumo.
The former Troyes forward is one of the key reasons behind Brentford holding the 11th position in the English top-flight. His contract is expiring in the 2026 summer, but the Bees have the advantage of triggering it for another year.
