Naomi Osaka, who is a four-time Grand Slam winner, set high goals after winning the first round of the 2025 Miami Open.

The 27-year-old tennis star beat Starodubtseva from Ukraine 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the first round. At the 2025 Australian Open, Osaka got out in the third round in January.

At the Indian Wells two weeks ago, Camila Osorio outdid Osaka in the first round. She called the defeat “worst match I’ve ever played in my life”.

After winning a crucial battle against Starodubtseva, Osaka said: “I want to play with the big dogs so bad and I just see everyone playing so well and I want to do the same.”

The 2021 Aus Open is Osaka’s last Grand Slam win. French Open is the next GS now (May 25, 2025 – June 8, 2025), where Osaka has never passed ahead of 3rd round.
