Mahendra Singh Dhoni and impact player Shivam Dube did shine with bat, stayed unbeaten and helped the Chennai Super Kings beat the Lucknow Super Giants by five wickets with three balls left.

Chasing the target of 167, CSK got a good start from openers Rachin Ravindra (37 runs) and Shaik Rasheed (27). 

The opening pair comforted Dhoni and Dube to stay unbeaten. The CSK captain scored 26 runs and Dube added 43 runs. 

For the home side, Rishabh Pant did shine with the bat. The LSG captain scored 63 runs in 49 balls. Other players not being able to shine made LSG score 166 runs at the cost of seven wickets. 

Dhoni’s CSK are still 10th in the PL, winning two matches out of seven. LSG hold the fourth spot, winning four games out of seven.
