David Beckham, who is the co-owner of Inter Miami, strongly believes in showing respect in the game. The former Manchester United winger wants Minnesota United to show some respect overall.

He did not like Minnesota’s activity on their social media handles. Inter Miami faced a humiliating 4-1 defeat while facing Minnesota United at the weekend.

Since Messi joined Inter Miami in July 2023, this was the biggest defeat they have seen. Messi scored early in the second half, but saw four goals coming from the home side.

Minnesota, after winning the game, took a dig at Inter – calling them “”Pink Phony Club”. As Messi’s side wear the pink (colour) jersey, they used Chappell Roan song Pink Pony Club to troll.

Beckham said: “Show a little respect, be elegant in triumph.”

Welshman Eric Ramsay’s side then hit back at Minnesota United.
