Christopher Nkunku might be a shocking 2025 summer transfer move for Liverpool, as per Footmercato. The 27-year-old has scored just six goals since joining Chelsea in the summer of 2023 from RB Leipzig.
Nkunku had a great time with the German club, scoring 47 goals in 119 Bundesliga appearances. However, his form for France has not turned great either. The former Paris Saint-Germain striker has scored just once in 14 appearances for his national side.
Nkunku has not clicked at Chelsea in the Premier Legaue. Hence, the Reds reportedly looking at him as a striker or backup comes as a surprise.
Even the Blues are looking for a new number nine. This means somewhere or the other, they have even lost hope in the French player.
But in the cup competitions, his form is better with nine goals in 11 appearances. Possibly, for the cup competitions, this move might work to the core.
But scoring three times in 27 PL outings indicates poor form overall this season.
