Five-time Indian Premier League winners Mumbai Indians have announced the replacement of three of their foreign cricketers for the remainder of the 2025 season.
While Jacks, Corbin Bosch and Ryan Rickelton got replaced by Jonny Bairstow, Charith Asalanka and Richard Gleeson.
All three of the departing players left early due to their national team calls. The India-Pakistan tensions caused the IPL to be skipped for some days early in May. Hence, the IPL final was pushed to 3 June.
This impacted the global fixtures for several teams. Hence, many of the big names had to leave the season early.
With 14 points in 12 matches, MI have a chance to qualify for the playoffs by doing well in the final two regular-season games.
And these two games are against the following teams:
- Delhi Capitals (Home): 21 My
- Punjab Kings (Away): May 26
Winning the game against the fifth-placed Delhi will ease things for pushing ahead to the next stage.
