The former Spain captain, Sergio Ramos, feels that Real Madrid are the favourites to win the FIFA Club World Cup, which is happening in the United States.

Ex-Real captain Ramos is also taking part in the competition as a player for Monterrey, facing Inter Milan in their event’s opener (hours away).

Inter reached last year’s Champions Legaue final and lost to Paris Saint-Germain 5-0.

Ramos: “Real Madrid are always favourites in the big competitions.”

Ramos’ Monterrey are in Group E with Inter Milan, River Plate and Urawa Red Diamonds. Each team will face each other once, with the top two teams advancing to the round of 16.

Games against Inter and River Plate might be a task for Monterrey to win.

Real Madrid have top players, with the ability to win the event. However, there are other clubs too who are capable of winning things with most of them are from Europe.
