Carlo Ancelotti has arrived in Brazil to take over as their new head coach. The Italian manager left Real Madrid to manage his first national team.
Ancelotti was a part of Real Madrid from 2021 to 2025, helping them to win two UCL titles (2021-22, 2023-24).
It was his second innings as Real boss, having previously managed them from 2013 to 2015, winning the 2013-14 UCL title.
The 65-year-old started his managerial career for Reggiana in 1995. But this is the first time he has taken charge of a national team and too of Brazil, who are the biggest nation in the world of football.
However, they last won the FIFA World Cup in 2002. Ancelotti’s arrival has boosted the Brazilian football fans ahead of next year’s FIFA World Cup in North America.
Ancelotti is the only manager in football history to win five UCL titles. He managed his last match for Real on May 24, beating Real Sociedad 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
