Tottenham Hotspur, who beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League in Bilbao on Wednesday, strongly feels that playing in the Champions League next season will help them sign Marc Guehi from fellow London side Crystal Palace.

Guehi plays as a centre-back for the Eagles. In 2021, the England international joined Crystal Palace from Chelsea.

Having played 23 times for the Three Lions since making his debut in 2022, Guehi has helped Crystal Palace win their first ever FA Cup recently.

As his deal with Palace will be over in 2026 summer, joining a new club seems a possibility.

Not signing a contract extension will make him a free agent next summer.

The Europa League victory has helped Spurs become stable, as they will offer players the UCL football next season.

Plus, it has pushed the fans to be behind the manager, Ange Postecoglou, as there were talks of sacking him this summer due to his poor form in the Premier League.

Postecoglou has done something that Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte were not able to do for the North London giants.
