SRH won the toss and picked to bowl first.

Qunton’s opening partner Sunil Narine went back to the pavilion after scoring just seven runs.

However, captain Ajinkya Rahane finally contributed some crucial runs for KKR. The former Rajasthan Royals skipper scored a crucial 38 runs in 27 balls.

Rahane’s burden was eased down by Angkrish Raghuvanshi first, who scored 50 runs in 32 deliveries. And then carried forward by Venkatesh Iyer’s 60 in 29 balls, followed by a firing Rinku Singh scoring 32 in 17 balls.

This led KKR to give a 201 target for the away side to chase.

Travis Head, who opened for Hyderabad as an impact player, added just four runs in two balls. The Australian star lost his wicket to KKR’s impact player Vaibhav Arora.

Head’s opening partner Abhishek Sharma failed too, scoring just two runs. Even Ishan Kishan flopped and added just two runs before losing his wicket to Arora.

Arora then went on to take his third wicket of the game, adding T20 star Heinrich Klaasen to his wicket list.

Just like Arora, Varun Chakravarthy also bagged three wickets.

It put pressure on middle and lower-order batsmen, who were not able to set up a huge partnership.

Nitish Kumar Reddy (scored 19 runs) and Kamindu Mendis (27 runs) lost wickets from set position, making it utterly hard to win the game.

KKR have now won two of their first four games, while SRH have lost three of their opening four matches in the IPL 2025.
