Sanjiv Goenka, who is the owner of the Lucknow Super Giants, hails the recent performance of spinner Digvesh Rathi in a lock T20 league match.
Rathi, who was fined several times in the IPL 2025 due to his notebook celebration, took 14 wickets in 13 matches in his debut season for LSG.
The Indian businessman is impressed with his spinner taking five wickets.
Goenka said on X: “Stumbled upon this clip of Digvesh Rathi taking 5 in 5 in a local T20 game. Just a glimpse of the talent that made him a breakout star for @LucknowIPL in IPL 2025.”
Rathi seems to be one of those rare spinners who talk the talk and walk the walk.
Despite him continuously doing a notebook celebration after taking wickets in the IPL, he kept on doing it until the very end. He knew it well the action to would get him fined.
Goenka backing Rathi means he is one of the key players he would like to keep for the 2026 IPL and beyond.
