Liverpool and Premier League legend Mohamed Salah praised Ange Postecoglou after he led Tottenham Hotspur to win the 2025 Europa League title. Spurs beat Manchester United 1-0 in Bilbao on Wednesday.
Postecoglou joined Spurs in 2023. Back then, he talked about winning the title in his second season. Despite having a poor Premier League season, where Spurs are 17th, they have managed to win the Europa Legaue.
It has given Tottenham a ticket to compete in the Champions Legaue next season.
Salah expressed his views via X: “He did say he’d win in his second season. Congratulations!”
Postecoglou tops the list in terms of facing too much criticism from Spurs fans, more so than their previous managers. But he is the only one who has managed to deliver silverware.
But it is strange for even neutral football fans that a team 17th in the PL wins the Europa Legaue. Now they will face the winner of the Champions Legaue next season in the Super Cup.
This gives them a chance to win another title, which is rare in the Spurs’ case.
