Raphinha has signed a new deal at Barcelona until the 2028 summer. In the 2024-25 season, the Brazil forward has helped FCB to win the domestic treble.
34 goals and 25 assists in 56 appearances in all competitions this season have made the former Leeds United forward one of the best in Europe.
The 28-year-old had a keen interest from several football clubs in Saudi Arabia.
After making a progressive deal at FCB, Raphinha said: “I’ve told my family before that my dream is to be here until the end of my career and I hope to be able to do so but at my best level.”
Barca reached the Champions Legaue semis, but lost to Inter Milan. Otherwise, they had a chance to win the UCL title too.
Raphinha made a move to Barca from Leeds in 2022. His first two seasons were decent with the Spanish giants. However the major move came in the 2024-25 season, where he has taken his game to the very best levels.
The combination of goals and assists makes him a great player overall. He was in Man United’s plans too. But the new deal has made these plans unproductive.
