William Saliba has started contract talks with Arsenal, as per Athletic. As several reports are suggesting, Saliba getting linked with Real Madrid, the Gunners might do their all to make him stay in North London for years to come.

Even the reports of contract extension talks show a lot of value for the Arsenal fans, as on Wednesday, they lost their hopes of winning the Champions League after Paris Saint-Germain knocked Arsenal out in the semis.

Losing the French international format at this stage could be proven costly for the 13-time English champions as they are looking just one of two good players away from winning something meaningful in the next two to three seasons.

Even before signing a new deal, Arsenal can keep the 24-year-old defender until the 2027 summer.

The Gunners did spot Saliba in 2019 and allowed him to develop until 2022, with several loan moves.

In many football pundits’ eyes, he is one of the top five active defenders in the world. This shows the value of Saliba to the core.
