Aston Villa want to sign Kevin de Bruyne this summer, according to Sky Sports.
Early in April, De Bruyne decided to leave Man City after the end of the 2024-25 season. However, there is no confirmation about his next move in professional football.
Aston Villa are seventh in the English top-flight table, having collected 57 points in 34 matches. They are just four points behind third-placed Manchester City. It means the Champions League qualification is possible.
This could be a tempting reason behind the Belgium football legend making a move to Villa Park.
The 33-year-old attacking midfielder is one of the biggest names in the Premier League’s history. In 284 appearances, De Bruyne has scored 71 goals and 119 assists.
Despite scoring just three times in 24 PL outings this season, a section of football fans feel that the former Chelsea attacking midfielder can still do wonders.
Hence, a move to Villa Park might work wonders for Unai Emery’s side.
