Heinrich Klaasen’s 71 off 44 balls did make an impact. Otherwise, SRH could have scored less than 143 runs.

Even Abhinav Manohar’s 43 runs in 37 deliveries worked well and decently for the home side. Trent Boult did shine for the five-time IPL winners and took four wickets.

As a result, Hyderabad were able to add just 143/8 in 20 overs.

Impact player Rohit Sharma did make it worthwhile batting yet again this season, blasting 70 of 46 balls.

As the target was 144, not huge, Rohit’s 70 runs did work very well. Suryakumar Yadav, who has found his form recently, remained not out and added 40 runs in just 19 balls to make MI collect two very crucial points.

With five wins in nine matches and just four defeats, MI are standing in the third position (IPL table). It was SRH’s sixth defeat of the season, having won just two games. They are ninth in the IPL table.
