Atletico Madrid have joined the race to sign Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United this summer.
Atletico have joined German side Bayer Leverkusen to sign the Argentina international, per Teamtalk.
As per the latest media reports, Garnacho is being valued at £70m. Having appeared 88 times in the Premier League for Man United, the 20-year-old forward has scored 15 goals and seven assists.
Despite being very young and talented, Garnacho seems not to have a good relationship with head coach Ruben Amorim.
He is having a mild PL season (2024-25), scoring just five times in 31 outings.
Garnacho was a part of Atletico Madrid’s youth academy from 2015 to 2020, the year he made a move to Manchester.
Two years later, Garnacho made his professional debut for the Red Devils. So, the structure of Atletico is something the Argentine forward is familiar with.
