Postecoglou Feels Team Atmosphere Matters Most

Ange Postecoglou feels that only the team atmosphere matters to him, not what the outside world has to say.

Tottenham Hotspur registered a 1-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany on Thursday.

As the first leg of the Europa League last-eight finished as a 1-1 draw, it did make the second leg ever-so-crucial.

Dominic Solanke scored a goal (penalty) in the second half and sent Spurs to the semi-finals, where they will face Bodo/Glimt.

For Postecoglou, victory at Frankfurt is huge as it keeps Spurs alive to win something big and end the season on a better note.

Because the Whites have been too poor in the Premier League since the start of the current season, it has made fans against Postecoglou.

But the former Celtic boss feels that it is about what Spurs players think about him rather than taking pressure from the outside.

“Our fans have been through a tough time. Hopefully this gives them something to look forward to,” said Postecoglou.

“I’m the same coach that I was yesterday. The players have never lost belief. People like to mock and diminish my achievements but I’ll leave that there.”

Winning the Europa League is only way for Spurs to play in the Champions League next season.
