The Delhi Capitals made a comeback after losing the clash against the Mumbai Indians recently, beating the Lucknow Super Giants by eight wickets at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Despite Aiden Markram and Michelle Marsh making a great opening partnership, only impact player Ayush Badoni could contribute some runs (36).
Markram blasted 52 off 33 balls and Marsh scored 45 off 36 balls.
Yet again LSG captain Rishabh Pant did not deliver with the bat, scoring not even one run in two balls faced.
As the middle-order of the home side did not work well, they could score 159/6 in 20 overs.
Unlike Lucknow, Delhi did not make mistakes and chased the target of 160 runs in 17.5 overs.
Abishek Porel’s 51 runs gave a good base. Even opener Karun Nair scored a decent 15 runs in nine balls.
Delhi did respect the good start, with experienced K.L. Rahul and captain Axar Patel remaining not out and adding two points to the tally.
Rahul went on to score 57 runs, while Patel blasted 34 runs. For the away side, Mukesh Kumar took four wickets in four overs, leading them to stop Lucknow with ease.
With six wins from eight matches, Delhi are second in the IPL table with 12 points. LSG have slipped to the fifth place, with their fourth loss after nine games.
