Lucknow Super Giants have lost a crucial game against Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Monday.
Rishabh Pant failed yet again in the Indian Premier Legaue 2025, scoring just seven off six deliveries.
Unlike Pant, other LSG batters worked well by adding 205/7 in 20 overs. Mitchell Marsh’s 65, Aiden Markram’s 61 and Nicholas Pooran’s 45 runs had a significant impact.
For the visitors, Eshan Malinga bowled well, taking two wickets and giving 28 runs in four overs.
In a high-scoring game, Abhishek Sharma made the difference by contributing a fast 59 off 20 balls. Heinrich Klaasen then took things forward, contributing 47 in 28 deliveries. Ishan Kishan stayed strong too, as the Indian international scored 35 runs.
SRH took only 18.2 overs to chase the target of 206 runs, losing just four wickets.
The home lost a must-win game. Now they sit seventh in the IPL table, with 10 points in 12 games. The victory did not impact SRH much as they are already out of the playoffs. But winning the fourth game of the season means something.
