Scott McTominay has become a legend at Napoli. Moving to the Italian side last summer from Manchester United, the Scottish midfielder scored. A goal in the final game of the Serie A season and helped Napoli win the title. 

McTominay help from his former Manchester United teammate Romelu Lukaku. Who also scored a goal in Napoli’s 2-0 victory at home over Cagliari on Friday. 

The victory on May 24 made sure of the Blues winning. The domestic league title race against Inter Milan by a point. Inter finished second with 81 points in 38 Italian top-flight games (2024-25 season).

McTominay, with 12 goals and six assists in 34 outings. Became the Most Valuable Player of the 2024-25 Serie A season. 

After winning his career’s first domestic league title, McTominay said: “I’m lost for words. It’s incredible you know, the sacrifice that every single player in the group has put forward to the cause.”

McTominay’s impact at Napoli tells that Man United have deeper problems, where players leaving the club become best-in-class. 

It is a fact that now the 29-year-old is one of the best midfielders in the world. And in the 2024 summer, he considered a normal player by the football fans in England.
