Thomas Partey, whose contract is up at Arsenal on 30 June 2025, is in possible Barcelona plans (per Sun).
Partey, 31, holds the experience of playing in La Liga during his long stint at Atletico Madrid, where he played from 2013 to 2020.
In 2020, Partey made a move to Arsenal. The North London side have shown interest in offering the defensive midfielder a new contract. However, nothing productive has come from Mikel Arteta’s side.
Possibly, the potential arrival of Martin Zubimendi is making them offload Partey. Spain champions Barca have long been facing financial problems.
Hence, adding a player like Partey without paying a transfer fee is a boost before the start of the 2025-26 season.
Since 2020, Partey has made 130 appearances for Arsenal, which shows how productive he has been for the Gunners.
