Ex-Manchester United midfielder Angel Gomes has told the Lille fans about leaving as a free agent this summer.
The French club were desperate to make the England international sign a contract extension. In 2020, he decided to make a move to France after not getting ample space at Old Trafford to develop.
The move has worked well for him, with the 24-year-old becoming decent at creating chances. Being a free agent, several clubs might fancy adding him in the 2025 summer transfer market.
He said: “After four unforgettable years at LOSC Lille, it’s time for me to say goodbye.”
Playing 105 times in Ligue 1 for Lille tells the overall development he has made in France. As a result, Gomes made his England debut last year.
He was a part of MU from 2017 to 2020, only getting five games to play in the English top-flight.
